At Tessera we believe that youth reflect what is modeled. We believe in the importance of arts education and have personally experienced its gifts in our own lives and careers. Both now make their home minutes from East Knoxville, where Tessera Dance Theater will thrive. Hannah trained throughout Knoxville before moving to New York City to continue her education and begin her professional career. Ken danced at Vine Middle School and Austin East High School, where he went on tour across the United States. Ken and Hannah both grew up dancing in the greater Knoxville area. Tessera Dance Theater is a nonprofit organization created with the purpose of enriching the local arts community by partnering with Northeast Knoxville in order to create a dynamic, recognized, and respected arts hub where every individual is welcomed and prepared for the world through a multifaceted approach to dance education.
